A Kyiv resident opened fire following a dispute between dogs (photo).

Dog walking in the capital ended with gunfire and a call to law enforcement. The details of the incident on January 13 were shared by the Kyiv police press service.

Recently, the police received reports of gunfire in the Holosiivskyi district. Two men were walking their dogs in one of the yards. The pets failed to get along, which soon escalated into a quarrel between the owners.

During the conflict, one of the men pulled out a traumatic weapon from his bag and shot the other in the face, then fled the scene. The 30-year-old victim sustained a gunshot wound and was hospitalized. He was found to have a penetrating injury to his lower lip.

Police discovered that a 53-year-old local resident was involved in the crime. He was arrested at his home address. During searches of the premises, law enforcement seized a registered traumatic pistol, a gas pistol, and ammunition for both.

The suspect was informed of the charges under the hooliganism article. He faces up to seven years in prison.

Recall that on January 10, a scandal broke out involving "rich kids" who blocked a road while listening to the song "I Am Russian." On January 12, the police reported that dangerous items were found with the suspects and an investigation was underway under the article on illegal handling of weapons.
