"Убийство невозможно компенсировать": дочь Фарион требует 15 миллионов гривен.

During the court hearing regarding the murder of linguist Irina Farion, her daughter filed a claim for compensation. This information was reported during the broadcast from the Shevchenkivskyi District Court in Lviv on January 13.

Lawyer Natalia Romanik announced the claim. Sofia Osoba is demanding 15 million hryvnias from the suspect, Vyacheslav Zinchenko.

"Sofia Osoba wants to exercise this right and file a claim for moral damages amounting to 15 million. She will, of course, provide her explanations when she is questioned as a civil plaintiff and victim," the human rights defender stated.

The court approved the application. The defense also received a copy of the application and requested a recess for review.

In a statement to reporters, Farion's daughter explained how she intends to use the funds if she receives compensation. She noted in her statement that all 15 million will be directed to support the army, specifically the unit where the deceased Vasyl Osoba served.

"This means all funds will be transferred and allocated for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I personally will not hold any of those funds," Osoba assured.

She also pointed out that the claim clearly outlines the injuries Farion sustained. The daughter emphasized that it concerns a brutal murder.

"Therefore, 15 million will never compensate for the murder of Irina Farion, but they will help our defenders on the front lines protect Ukraine," she added.

As a reminder, on January 1, a street named after Irina Farion was opened in Lviv. It is located in the Halytskyi District, and friends and family of the murdered linguist attended the opening.

"Quarter 95" became embroiled in a scandal due to the airing of an episode that included a joke about "the daughter" of Irina Farion and Oleksiy Arestovych. The studio explained that the episode was from last year and was broadcast again, and that this joke "should not have made it to air."
