On February 3, videos surfaced on social media showing a man hiding in a locked car in a parking lot. It was reported that police were stationed near the vehicle, waiting for an opportunity to take the driver to the military enlistment office. The details of the incident were shared by the press service of the Patrol Police of the Odessa region.
On February 2, around 9:00 PM, patrol officers stopped a Mercedes as the driver had violated the traffic sign regulations. A protocol was drawn up against the offender, but during the document check, it was revealed that the man was wanted for violating military service laws.
The driver was asked to go to the military enlistment office, but he locked himself in the car and ignored the law enforcement's orders. Furthermore, he suddenly drove away and parked in one of the residential complexes. While remaining locked in the foreign car, the Odessa resident called for help from lawyers and "third parties."
Police noted that the individuals summoned by the Ukrainian "attempted to distract" the attention of the patrol officers. The police took measures to apprehend the man and take him to the military enlistment office.
On February 3, at 9:09 PM, the agency reported that the driver was escorted to the hospital and handed over to the military enlistment office.
As a reminder, lawyer Daria Tarasenko explained whether the military enlistment office can deny a deferment if the military liable individual does not pass the medical commission.
