Behavior crossed a line: Lubinets responded to the Kyiv National University professor's remarks about "hungry Ukrainian women."

Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets responded to the remarks made by Nikita Vasilenko, a lecturer at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, regarding "hungry Ukrainian women." In his Telegram channel, Dmitry Lubinets reported that he finds it necessary to contact the Security Service of Ukraine.

"The professor who made unethical comments about Ukrainian women should be examined by the competent authorities: letters have already been prepared. Perhaps someone was unaware, but the professor was involved in a scandal about a year ago, and our institute received a collective appeal from students regarding this. Following my response, the university held him accountable, and the professor received a reprimand," Lubinets reminded.

He stated that he is "responding for the second time" to the statements made by Professor Vasilenko.

"I have sent letters to the Ministry of Education and Science with the aim of conducting state supervision (control) over the activities of the educational institution and to the university demanding an internal investigation. I also see the necessity to contact the SBU. His unethical behavior has crossed the line, so this should be investigated and appropriately addressed by the competent authorities," Lubinets wrote.
