In Kharkiv, a man jumped into a river while fleeing from individuals in military uniforms and hid in a drainage pipe. A video of the incident surfaced on local social media.
Witnesses who recorded the footage claim that military recruitment officers were pursuing the man. After jumping into the river, he landed in the water, then climbed into the pipe and remained there until the recruiters left.
"This is quite a joke. They will have to get him out somehow. He could swim across to this side, which isn't far. If he knows how to swim, of course," commented those filming the video.
It has been reported that shortly after, an ambulance was called for the man. His fate remains unknown, and the Kharkiv military recruitment center has not commented on the incident yet.
Recall that in the Transcarpathian region, a forcibly mobilized Ukrainian man stole almost 30,000 euros from the office of the recruitment center chief. He managed to pick the lock of the office door with a tool and escape through the window.
