The number of confirmed casualties from the Israeli airstrike, which was carried out without warning on a residential high-rise in central Beirut on Saturday morning, has risen to 20, according to the latest reports.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 66 individuals were injured as a result of the fourth such attack on the capital's center within less than a week.
IDF strikes also targeted the south and east of the country, resulting in a total of at least 38 fatalities.
Israeli officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, informed the media that the military's target was Mohammad Haydar, a senior commander of "Hezbollah," though his death has not been confirmed.
A representative of the radical Shia group stated that at the time of the strike on the eight-story building, there were no members of "Hezbollah" inside.
Borrell: Lebanon is "on the brink of collapse" after weeks of intense Israeli bombardments
On Sunday, the outgoing head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, during his visit to Beirut, called for a "immediate ceasefire" between Israel and "Hezbollah."
"We see only one possible solution: an immediate ceasefire and full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701," which ended the previous war between Israel and the Lebanese group in 2006, the Brussels official stated after meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
"In September, I was here and still hoped that we could prevent an open war between Israel and Lebanon. Two months later, Lebanon is on the brink of collapse," Borrell told reporters.
"Hezbollah" fires at Israel
On Sunday morning, warning sirens sounded in several central and northern areas of Israel, particularly in the suburbs of Tel Aviv.
According to the IDF, between 90 and 100 rockets were launched from Lebanon towards the territory of the Jewish state.
Some of them were "intercepted, and the fallen projectiles were identified," the military reported.
According to the national medical service "Magen David Adom," in Peta Tikva, several individuals were injured as a result of the rocket fire from "Hezbollah." Among the injured are a 70-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man.
Several others are being monitored for "acute anxiety and minor injuries" sustained while fleeing to safety, medical officials added.
Damage was reported to one of the buildings in the northern port city of Haifa.
According to the municipality, one person sustained light shrapnel wounds.
Severe damage was also reported in the moshav (agricultural community) Rinatia in central Israel due to a rocket hit.
There are no reports of injuries.
