HAMAS has confirmed the names of six Israeli hostages that the Palestinian group will release on Saturday, February 22.
These individuals are Omer Venkert, Eli Cohen, Avraham Mengistu, Tal Shoham, Omer Shem Tov, and Hisham al-Saed. Their ages range from 21 to 39 years.
Four of them were captured on October 7, 2023. The other two have been in the Gaza Strip for nearly 10 years, having entered voluntarily.
The Israeli government has informed their families that their loved ones will soon return to them. Authorities have also urged Israelis not to share unverified information.
These are likely the last living hostages to be released in the first phase of the agreement between Israel and HAMAS.
