The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that as a result of a strike on a boarding school in Sudzha, four people were killed, another four sustained serious injuries, and 84 individuals were rescued by Ukrainian servicemen from the rubble of the building. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Moscow bombed the boarding school where civilians were sheltering and preparing for evacuation.
Ukrainian authorities indicate that those in need of additional medical assistance were evacuated to medical facilities within Ukraine.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed on Sunday that the missile strike on the boarding school was carried out by Ukrainian forces, stating that the missiles were launched from the Sumy region of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the Russian missile strike on a residential building in the Ukrainian city of Poltava on Saturday has risen to 14, including two children, as reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on Sunday. Seventeen people were injured as a result of the attack on the five-story building, according to the statement.
