Russia launched at least 61 drones over Ukraine on Saturday night,
the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed that they shot down 46 drones and two Russian guided missiles.
According to local media, the regions where the UAVs were intercepted include Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Zaporizhia.
In the city of Vyshneve in the Kyiv region, a nine-story residential building was damaged as a result of a drone strike. Five people were rescued, including two children.
Meanwhile, residents of the village of Khoten in the Sumy region, near the border with Kursk, say that life has become even more difficult following an unexpected Ukrainian incursion in August due to intensified Russian bombardments. Many refuse to leave, stating that Ukrainian forces need their daily support.
The Russian Ministry of Defense, in turn, reported the downing of three rockets from the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 44 drones.
The TASS news agency reports that Russian troops have entered the eastern Ukrainian village of Velyka Novosilka in the south of the self-proclaimed DPR.
According to the Institute for the Study of War, the Russian army has recently advanced towards the strategic city of Pokrovsk, which serves as a supply hub and is located at an important crossroads leading to key cities in the Donetsk region.
